Agustí Fernàndez
Agustí Fernàndez (ES) is one of the most important explorers of avant-garde music in Spain, combining his thorough knowledge of twentieth-century modern classical piano with jazz free improvisation to a forge a unique and powerful style. A professional musician since the age of thirteen, his life changed completely when he discovered the works of Cecil Taylor and Iannis Xenakis. He has performed at major festivals, as well as composed for dance, theatre, cinema and television. He is member of the Evan Parker Electro-Acoustic Ensemble and the Barry Guy New Orchestra. A prolific musician, he has recorded more than 50 CDs to date.
