Siegfried Zielinski
Siegfried Zielinski (DE) holds the chair of Media Theory – with a focus on Archaeology and Variantology of Media – at the Institute for Time Based Media at the Berlin University of Arts. He edited – together with the Variantology research group – a five-volume book series Variantology – Deep Time Relations of Arts, Sciences and Technologies, of which the third volume focuses on China, the fourth on the Arabic world and the fifth on Naples. His most recent monographic book in English is entitled Deep Time of the Media – Towards an Archaeology of Hearing and Seeing by Technical Means (2006).
