Overwhelmed by the enormous Sonic Acts festival programme?

Mark Fell (participates in Beyond Time, 23 Feb, Paradiso)
[ENG] Fell recently published quite a bit of new music, en all of it bursts of algorhythmically disarranged sounds. I don’t get anything of it, but that’s what it makes so interesting.
[originally in NL] Fell heeft het laatste jaar nogal wat muziek uitgegeven, en allemaal staat het bol algoritmisch door elkaar stuiterende geluiden. Ik snap er helemaal niks van maar vind het des te boeiender.
Keith Fullerton Whitman (participates in Natural Time, 25 Feb, Paradiso)
[ENG] As Fell does, Whitman creates systems that control themselves, which make them hybrids of human and computer (or synthesizer) generated music. Exciting and unpredictable.
[originally in NL] Net als Fell creeërt Whitman systemen die zichzelf aansturen, waardoor je dus en hybride krijgt van menselijke en computer (of synthesizer) gestuurde muziek. Spannend en onvoorspelbaar.

[ENG] Frankly speaking, I know few of Michael Pisaro’s work because I only discovered him when he made a fantastic disc together with Taku Sugimoto. The very minimalistic music is seemingly based on enormously philosophic concepts, with unique and wonderful results.
[originally in NL] Eerlijk gezegd ken ik heel weinig van Michael Pisaro, omdat ik hem pas ontdekte toen hij vorige jaar een fantastische plaat maakte met Taku Sugimoto. Zeer minimalistische muziek, met naar schijnt enorm filosofische concepten, maar het resultaat is uniek en wonderschoon.
